CASAC (Community Action and Support Against Crime) specialises in providing security improvements, advice and crime prevention initiatives to individuals and communities in partnership with the Police, Local Authorities and Housing Associations.  Our key services include CASAC Burglary Reduction and CASAC Check Point.

CASAC Burglary Reduction has delivered high quality security services to over 30,000 properties in Leeds for six years, and provides a truly bespoke security service to help reduce burglary, by assessing individual client needs. All of our staff wear Police ID badges, which reassures our customers and partners alike. 96% of our clients state that their fear of crime has been reduced as a direct result of our service.

Other successes include:

  • CASAC being recognised as a key mechanism in reducing burglary in Leeds, with an overall reduction of over 44%. 
  • Reducing repeat burglary (where the offender has breached security measures fitted) by over 93%.
  • The level of reduction in burglary equates to a cost saving of over £21 million in the past three years.
  • CASAC being represented on the Safer Leeds Board.

When CASAC visits your home our Engineers have been trained by the Fire Service to assess your property and identify any fire risks, providing smoke alarms or just pointing you in the right direction for additional advice if necessary.  As part of our service we also want to help those who struggle to pay their fuel bills, and have been trained by Leeds City Council to identify clients who may be eligible for support.  This additional service is free of charge.

If you need general repairs, maintenance or improvements within your home then call on CASAC Check Point.  We operate a register of approved tradespeople, who we have checked with the Police, Trading Standards, Companies House and previous customers.  Check Point aims to provide you with someone who will do a quality job at a fair market price. Our tradespeople can provide an estimate for many types of work.  We aim to protect householders from bogus builders and cowboy contractors by providing a reliable source of trades people, which will give you the confidence that you need when inviting strangers into your home.
