Domestic Violence Packages
These packages are available through our work with the Police and Leeds City Council. Our Engineers will liaise with Domestic Violence Co-ordinators to assess properties to identify any security products that will reduce the chance of repeat victimisation. CASAC will establish whether there is a need for a replacement door/door frame, reinforced hinges, window grilles. In some cases we will fit an internal "panic room". This is part of a national 'Sanctuary' scheme to reduce homelessness.
We are pleased to be delivering the Sanctuary project because a great number of women who are victims of domestic violence have to, through no fault of their own, leave their home and move into emergency accommodation.
The purpose of the scheme is to help these victims to stay in their homes by providing them with support and security to reduce the need for re-housing.
